SCOTT HOMMAS, PRINCIPAL

For principal designer Scott Hommas, architecture is a natural outpouring of his desire to create. The Montana native remembers first experiencing the full impact of architecture during a family vacation; he was “blown away” by the splendor of Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park. That early fascination with the impact a building can have haunted him, and in 1986, he earned his degree in architecture from Montana State University. He launched his career as an intern at Curtis Gelotte Architects, after which time he spent several years working for a variety of firms before returning to Curtis Gelotte in 1996. For more than twenty years, Scott’s partnered with clients to create their custom dream homes; whether a new home or a kitchen remodel, he embraces opportunities to introduce artistry and intentionality into any space. In his personal time, he continues to create as he paints, sculpts, and turns every house project into an art project.

Eric Drivdahl

ERIC DRIVDAHL, PRINCIPAL

Design is inherent for Eric Drivdahl, a Pacific Northwest Native local to Bothell. As a child, Tinker toys, erector sets, and blocks served as the means to construct his imagination’s creative visions. He graduated cum laude in architecture from Washington State University and spent the first six years of his career in Ohio working on historic buildings, including several on the National Historic Register. In 2002, he began his journey with the Gelotte Hommas Drivdahl design team and embraced the architecture firm’s passion for client-oriented residential design. He views every project as an opportunity to realize his clients’ dream home through authentic dialog and elegance in design. In 2013, Gelotte Hommas Architecture welcomed Eric as a principal architect, and four years later, he became a name partner. He draws inspiration for his craft from the glory of his Northwest surroundings and enjoys kayaking, hiking, and bicycling with his family.
